While the habs are still battling it out for the cup, the ultimate showdown between Montreal and Quebec City has finally been unveiled! Come out and join us May 2nd at Cafe Campus as of 7:30 PM. After 15 weeks of battling it out, the two winning acts will finally give it all they've got in the hopes of being crowned this year's champ! Representing Quebec City is Post-Scriptum, while Montreal is represented by Play The Angel. In past years, Quebec City has been crowned champ but this year just might be the year that Montreal brings it home!
Be sure to catch the 2 winning bands in an exclusive interview on Musique Plus' "Plus sur commande" May 1st at 5 PM. The ultimate winner will perform live in studio on May 9th.
As well, the winning band will be awarded thousands of dollars in prizes: equipment, a music video, a photo shoot, recording studio time, CD packaging, online benefits, and more! Over $40 000 in prizes will be handed out to the finalists.

With over 25 000 spectators having attended past editions, Drummer Kombat has secured the Metropolis Savoy as this year's venue. From March to July, you are cordially invited to come out every first Wednesday of each month as of 8:30 PM. Winners will receive prizes valued at approximately $30 000, including 2 drum sets valued at $10 000 each, studio recording time, a website, studio jam time, a trip down south, and more.
Boxing-like combat
Drummer participants will be thrown into a boxing ring into two distinct corners: red & blue. They will be judged according to a number of criteria including stage presence and versatility. Well-known drummers and industry professionals will be on hand as judges. Fred Rioux from 98.5 FM will be emceeing the event and will be accompanied by a lovely bikini model. So far, 30 competitors have been selected and will face off in 5 “duels”.
The king of drummers, Guy Nadon, is the spokesperson
None other than the legendary Guy Nadon, having worked several years in the music scene, will be present each night as part of the jury.

It is with broken hearts, we announce that Valerie Pyke's son Riley passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2006. In his short life of sixteen months, Riley taught us many lessons including the true meaning of strength and courage. A special thanks to the Montreal Children's Hospital Hematology/ Oncology and Picu Staff and all the doctors and nurses involved in Riley's care. All of you have a special place in our hearts.
