Omnium du Rock
4-0 for Québec!
Friday April 24th was the provincial finals of Omnium du Rock 08-09! Québec has already been declared 3 time champ, so the pressure was on for Spacemak3r to make it a 4th!
The first group up, Spacemak3r, and what a show they put on! Once again, their set included clowns, monsters, balloons, confetti and acrobats....all developed around a schizophrenic child's dream; haunted by a monster; the whole theatrical element captivated the audience and the judges, as everyone was transformed into the delirium of Spacemak3r. How do you top that?
The choice was between Spacemak3r and Live Twice (Montreal Champions), the judges were in favor of Québec for the 4th consecutive year!
Spacemak3r beat out 64 groups throughout the competition, winning 40 studio hours, a new website, a $10 000 music video, a DEP distribution contract, 1000 CD's, clothing, $1000 of rental from Solotech and more!
Congratulations to Spacemak3r and to Kay Productions for another great Omnium du Rock!!
