This question comes up often but most jam nights are for bands and not duets so:

Check:

JAM NIGHTS @ RASA RESTO LOUNGE
SUNDAY  10:00 PM - 3:00 AM
MUSIC CODE all types

Jam Night at Cunninghams Pub
75 St Anne De Bellevue Thursday Nights

Bada-Bing in Laval has jam nights on Saturdays

and for singer songwriters
YE OLD ORCHARD PUB
downtown wednesdays  **But you must sign on in advance**
through the facebook GROUP

HOPE THAT HELPS.

Brutopia on Crescent Street - Sunday night at 10:00 - go in and sign up for a place earlier.

Also Grumpy's on Bishop has several - one night country, one night jazz etc - call them for info.

Sunday night. Kafein on Bishop.
Send me an email. I'll get you a place if time permits on that night.

I think Bar St-Laurent 2 is hosting a pretty popular open jam night every monday night (It might be sunday night? can't remember) Also Barfly used to have Bluegrass country jams every sunday (think it's still on)...Here's my 2 cents

I did Brutopia with Phil on sax and vocals a couple of weeks back.

Why are all club owners too cheap to put monitors on stage after spending $50K or more on a sound system - couldn't hear a thing.

The place was filled with folk music - a couple of them were ok players but really boring. After the first 25 seconds it all sounded the same.

Every time I drink their home-brew beer I get the runs for a day - welcome to Montreal.

Their I.P.A. is good, methinks.

And they have raspberry beer!  Shocked
