Hey everyone. We're a new band that's just in the early stages of starting out (we haven't even jammed yet) and we really want to find a cellist to fill out the line-up. So far we have a singer/guitarist/mandolin player (myself), an acoustic guitarist/violinist, a bassist, a lead guitarist, a drummer and keyboardist.
We're really into everyone playing their part and having equal say in the band so if you have songs written and want to bring them in to play as part of the project, we'd love to hear them.
Obviously, we want to have a great time doing this and have a group that gets along and we all enjoy playing together...the kind of band that can go out after practice and get beers and just hang out outside of a band context. That being said, however, I'm looking for people who are committed - multiple practices a week, as many shows as possible, recordings, etc.
Our influences are bands like Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, The National, The Hold Steady, Islands, Talking Heads, Cursive, Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, Ted Leo, Owen Pallett and so on. We're all in our early-mid 20s so someone around my age would probably be best, but we don't really care as long as we're on the same wavelength when it comes to music. Guys, girls, whatever, it's all good to us. Anyways, if this has caught anyone's interest, please give me a shout at
