M42 - Bio:
A brand new band with a unique and eclectic sound, M42 combines elements of Funk, R&B, Blues, Reggae and Afrobeat with a positive message spanning over a range of topics from socio-political commentary to deeply rooted emotional self-expression to common day-to-day observations from a unique perspective. While their primary goal is to please and move their audience physically and emotionally through music, they also hope to uplift and provoke thought through insightful lyrics, always encouraging people to be the best they can be and embrace the uniqueness that makes everyone an individual. M42's sound is distinct and unmistakably them. As they top their tunes with bright and catchy melodies, they are sure to create an energetic and memorable experience that will leave the audience wanting more and singing the melodies well after the show is done.
The band's name, M42, comes from the Orion Nebula, also known as Messier-42. When singer/songwriter, Joseph Hackl, started taking an interest in astronomy, he quickly discovered that some marvels of the universe, as beautiful as the Orion Nebula, can be easily seen and spotted with a pair of inexpensive 10x50 binoculars. The notion that the door to the universe, in all it's splendor, can be so easily accessible was appealing to him and so he felt that the band should be aptly named M42.
The band's current very talented lineup consists of:
Dwight Chase: drums
Joseph Hackl: vocals/guitar
Randy Aloysius: bass

On September 10th, 2008, the Large Hadron Collider was switched on & the universe ended. All semblance of sentience since the cosmic singularity has been but noetic debris, parasitic noise in the metempsychotic void. One of the consequences of the ontological implosion of every known galaxy & the persistence of intelligence-like waveforms is the agglomeration of previously alien & irreconcilable mnestic patterns into transient, experience-like structures. From the perspective of pre-collapse minds, the aesthesis of these constructs has been reported to exhibit characteristics which, translated in terms of the defunct paradigm, might correspond to the following:
a) the smell of salt-water, the color burgundy or the sound of a flat object impacting an irregular moist surface
&/OR
b) a rock band
