So
Café Chaos looked like my bathroom except that
I wouldn't have that many people in such a small space!
Very cozy night in deed and I didn't mind numbing my
ass by sitting on the floor. So I sat there with my
buddy watching Code Pie, a band with a composition that
was new to me considering the scene. The girls were
on cello and trumpet, and the boys composed the rest
of what would have been a typical rock band. The sound
of the horns and the strings along with the alternative
rock got more than just my ears going. My senses were
all satisfied. I liked that my eyes were fixed on 6
cuties on stage, I could taste tobacco, I could smell
it too, and I can feel the bits of shit stuck on the
ground below my supporting hands. Code Pie? What's Code
Pie? I found out, but I won't give it away that easy
(forward your bidding cheques or money orders directly
to my residence please). These guys like Pearl Jam,
the Smiths and many other rock bands and carry the rock
'tudes in a slightl y musically twisted way. I really
enjoyed the idea and style. I wondered how such a new
and big band holds it all together. Apparently they
all collaborate, some more than others, but what's most
important to them is that they each not only like the
songs, but LOVE the songs they play. They play each
one like it's their last so they're quite easy going
when it comes to future plans. Hell, I was always curious
about the next song.
If
you're sick of radio tunes, tune in to these guys, check
out their site to find out where you can catch 'em:
