ENDEAVOUR & T.H.K.S @ LOUIS XIII, OCTOBER 15, 2004

review by Jennifer

Toronto’s own Endeavour and The Hellz Kitchen Show made a stop in Montreal on their “Demise of Vox Populi Eastern Canadian Tour"! gracing us with their killer tunes.

Endeavour played songs off their recently released album, “Demise” to a crowd of eager listeners. Their Canadian rock vibe was twisted up a bit with the introduction of a few acoustic tunes – a quite impressive sound that made for a great overall performance. Their songs reflect those of classic Canadian rock, with a hint of grunge (mostly in the vocals) and a modern fresh twist.

T.H.K.S. rocked the house as usual playing hard-core rock/Goth/metal songs off their album, “Vox Populi Vox Dei”. They also treated the crowd to a special T.H.K.S. version of Electric Avenue much to my delight. The ban’s shock rock and Gothic clown inspired garb was a surprise to many Montrealers who haven’t had a taste of T.H.K.S. before.

Although the venue wasn’t packed in due to some booking and publicity issues, those who made it out to see these Toronto stars left having been witness to some great live performances. We hope to see them come back to Montreal again!
