The boys of One Away packed up Le swimming as over 150 fans showed up for their EP launch. The anticipation was building up as the crowd cheered on "One Away!".  Manager Daniel Reda gave a warm introduction on stage and took the time to briefly explain the blast of success this band had since their debut in 2003, and also to thank the fans for being with them throughout this roller coaster ride.

Moments later the powerful drum and guitar intro hit the speakers and the show was on. Singer Pat Rossi grabs the crowd with his powerful and well-tuned voice, delivering One Away's very catchy and energetic set list of songs.  There was very little down time between the songs, except to give out t-shirts and cd's to the crazed-out crowd in front. The band brought down the tempo a bit with a nice set of mainly acoustic songs and ballads only to get the mojo going strong again with a few more powerful tunes before ending the night.

Their EP is extremely well recorded. It did their true live performance justice as the tracks reflected the bands well arranged melodies and high octane style of today's hard rock. My congratulations go out to them as it is sometimes rare to capture the same quality and energy on a studio recorded album.

Recently featured on CHOM FM's "Made In Canada", CFCF's Entertainment news, and spots in various newspapers including The Gazette, this is surely a band to keep your eyes and ears out for in 2004.
