THE DARKNESS @ VERDUN AUDITORIUM, JUNE 22, 2004

Running to the media pit as the stage curtain drops, I had the honor to witness The Darkness shake up a roaring audience of well over 4,000 fans at Verdun Auditorium. These new embassadors of rock from the UK have landed in Montreal on their busy North American tour to bedazzle us with their sexy power chords and delicious guitar riffs.  With such high energy flowing between the band and the tightly packed crowd, The Darkness definitively put the "FUN" back into rock.

Taking a moment from ripping it up on the guitar, Justin (vocals) shares falsetto parts with the spectators as he invites them to belt out the last verse of "Get Your Hands Off My Woman".  The needle never dropped an inch on the energy meter as the dynamic duo Dan (guitar) and Frankie (bass) crossfire each other to keep the fans busy from one end of the stage to the other, all to the backing thundering drums of Ed Graham.

Taking interaction to the next level, Justin hovers into the crowd during a guitar solo with the aid of his security crew to add even more fuel to the total pandemonium.

If you missed this show, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the next landing arrival of The Darkness closest to you as they will surely take you on for the rock ride of your life.
