The building housing off-island venue Chez Maurice is up for sale.
Located at 1897 Ste-Angélique in Saint-Lazare, Chez Maurice has played host to a number of events including live music, dance nights, and stand-up comedy.
According to real estate agent Bernard Charland’s listing, the property was built in 1955 and has held its current vocation as a venue for 40 years. The listing mentions that the 15 037 sq. ft. building is zoned for commercial purposes suggesting that Chez Maurice, in its current incarnation, will cease to exist.
Chez Maurice’s last Facebook post was made on September 25 for a live comedy show. The venue has been silent on social media since.
