Folk Fest sur le Canal will be going ahead this year in the form of a virtual concert. Festival organizers broke the news on Friday morning.
The concert will be streamed live on December 1 at 7 p.m. and will include performances from Cécile Doo-Kingué, É.T.É., Geneviève Racette, Li’l Andy, Rob Lutes, and Veranda. Although the stream is free, donations are always welcome and patrons are asked to register in advance.
Folk Fest sur le Canal was originally scheduled to take place from June 18-21 at Centennial Esplanade along the Lachine Canal. It was called off earlier this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
