Hey!... Are you looking for someone who can record your band or
projects at low prices with great & decent sound quality?... If
so, here I am!... I'm currently working with BOSS BR-1600CD
version 2, a portable digital recording studio.
I can record up to 8 simultanious tracks at a time... I can mix,
masterize &
produce your cds.
From live demos to pre-production albums, it all depends on what
YOUR
needs are.
I can go to your jam space or record live at one of your shows
and if you'd rather use my effects & pre-amps directly from the
BR-1600cd, you can also come to my place to record vocals,
guitar & bass tracks. The BR-1600cd contains all effects ever
made by BOSS for: VOCALS, GUITAR, BASS & DRUMS. And, seriously,
these are definitely good enough to record without your
guitar/bass amp! And, I currently use great microphones such as:
AUDIO-TECHNICA, AKG, & RODE microphones + Audio-Technica
headphones.
However, if you prefer using your own amp depending on your
taste, music style or live situation, then it is all up to you.
Moreover, vocal & drum effects are perfect to make it sound
professional.
Ok, I'm starting my own business and I have no sound engineering
diploma but, I guarantee you will like what you hear!... I've
been playing music for over 12 years, have studio knowledge,
experience & great gear!
HERE IS THE LINK:
http://www.myspace.com/thenewrecorder ( But don't forget it's mp3 format, unfortunately that affects the sound quality )...
Now you'll be able to
hear a couple of projects I have recorded recently... Then, check my profile on myspace.com to hear the songs...
Also, other samples of my work will be available soon...
I have to specify that most of the samples that you're gonna hear were recorded in 2005, not too long after I bought the machine... I only had 2 microphones at that time...
The tribute to rush has been recorded with only 6 TRACKS IN TOTAL: vocals, pre-sets, sequences, keyboards & drums passed through the mixer there at the bar... There was only 2 outputs on that damn mixer, ( same thing each side, left & right )... So there's not much I could do with it, but I definitely did the best I could!... The soundman had a job to do for the bar, so I totally couldn't get the sound I wanted because of that... By chance I had my 2 Audio-Technica condenser mic's to add a bit of presence & colour to their music, it helped a lot!...Then I mic'd the bass with a microphone that was there, a very old AUDIOVOX, & I mic'd the guitar with a SM-57...
The instrumental project was done at my appartment, more like studio recording... Over 10 tracks were used for guitar only & all the sounds & effects came from the Br-1600cd & some pedals I have, the guitarist never used any amp!... And he did the bass with a guitar, using BOSS bass simulation effect...
I recently bought new microphones, and now I can record demos or albums with professional sound with AUDIO-TECHNICA, RODE & AKG mikes... So it's pretty evident that your recording would sound way better, 'cause from now I can use 8 microphones for drums... There's a huge difference in sound quality... Anyways, there you can see what kind of job I can do with almost nothing... I guess it gives you a good idea of what I can do now, with my new equipment!?...
