Montreal’s Sheenah Ko has a lot to be proud of. The indie electronic pop artist recently took home hardware from across the pond at this year’s UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA).
More precisely, Ko’s video for “Wrap Me Up” won in the category of Best Choreography in a Video.
The production beat out Beyoncé, Shatta Wale, Major Lazer’s “Already”, George Michael, Mary J. Blige, Waze & Odyssey, Tommy Theo’s “Always”, Tove Lo’s “Are U gonna tell her?”, Christine and the Queens’ “La Vita Nuova”, and Jessie Ware’s “Step Into My Life”.
The video for “Wrap Me Up” was choreographed by Ko’s solo project choreography partner Brittney Canda, directed by Vincent René-Lortie and Britney Canda, and produced by Telescope Films.
Although Ko is actively engaged in her solo career, she continues to work with Besnard Lakes and Little Scream to name a few. In the past, she also appeared on projects like Folly and the Hunter, Bedouin Soundclash, USA Out of Vietnam, Pang Attack, and more. Find out more about Ko at sheenahko.com.
