Théatre St-Denis’ second hall is currently undergoing major renovations.
Earlier this morning construction crews were busy at work dismantling the current facade outside the smallest of the 2 halls.

The renovation is part of ongoing work to restore and modernize the live venue which first opened as a movie theatre in 1915.
The venue changed vocations in the 1980s and has since played host to concerts, live comedy, and theatre productions.
The current work is being financed by venue owner Compagnie France Film and is expected to last until November 2021. The project compliments an initial phase which consisted of building up and integrating the adjacent building located just to the South of the theatre.
Upcoming scheduled shows include Slava’s Snowshow in July and Dennis DeYoung’s The Grand Illusion 40th Anniversary Tour. There is no word yet on whether these shows will happen.
Théâtre St-Denis is located at 1954 Saint-Denis in Montreal’s Quartier Latin. More at theatrestdenis.com.
