Urban Science gifts Montreal with local-flavoured hip hop spin on holiday classic

Members of hip hop/soul collective Urban Science have released a new holiday single.

Urban Science’s related social media accounts started teasing a holiday release early on Christmas day with a promised release time of noon. The post included a screenshot from a recent news report about the Bloc Québecois’ attempt to push for “Bonjour-Ho” to become a commonplace holiday greeting.

As promised, at precisely noon on December 25, the collective delivered a socially-distant produced rendition of Christmas classic, “Carol of the Bells” titled “Bonjour-HO-HO-HO” — an obvious attempt to poke fun at the Bloc Québecois’ “Bonjour-Ho” campaign.

The Urban Science collective includes projects like Urban Science Le Cypher, Urban Science Brass Band, and Urban Science Brass Band.
